Bass Culture are back, this time in collaboration with Remissa Pub and Island Rockers Sound System, to bring you a night full of local bass goodness. This Saturday 1st of November the word is BassMent, happening at Stardust Club( Fortizza) in Sliema from 22:00 onwards.
You’ll be entertained by the Bass Culture Crew,Mist b2b Depth from FDM Crew & EarthRocker, who’ll be firing away their own blends of heavy bass tunes, from Dub and Reggae to Drum ‘n’ Bass and Jungle. Joining them on stage will be a lineup of some of Malta’s top musicians with the likes of Pupachile-French MC of MANA TAPU fame, the mighty Russu on Trumpet, the ever so versatile Justin Galea with his Melodica and Flute, the return of Jimmy Grima to his beloved Saxophone and Luca Selvaggi with his wicked beats on Percussions.
We’re excited and honoured to be hosting the debut of Island Rockers Sound System, which will be powering the event. This is the first custom designed and home built Sound System on our island, purposely built to support the heavy bass lines of dub and other bass heavy music. Built from bottom up and optimised by one of the lead sound engineers on the island Mark Agius (Earthrocker), we promise that this sound system is like no other you’ve heard before.
The cherry on the cake will be the top notch bar in the hands of Remissa Pub (St. Paul’s Bay). Matt and his team will be serving the genuine drinks and lovely cocktails they are famous for. To get the night started, there’ll be some special offers at the bar from 22:00 till 00:00.
Earlybird tickets at €5 are out next week from Remissa Pub (St. Paul’s Bay), Ċekċik – Ethnic & Vintage Bazaar & ZION (Restaurant & Reggae Bar) (M’Scala), ĠUGAR – Hangout & Bar (Valletta) and selected runners. Entrance at the door is €8.
